This Friday or Saturday I find out if I get into UGA or not. I've got to admit, I'm kind of nervous. I've been confident about getting in up until now. My SAT score is decent and I've been in more than enough AP classes. I've maintained a good GPA for the most part. It was a 3.69 the last time I checked. I've done plenty of extra-curricular activities too. I just don't want to have to wait a week to find out. I kind of put it out of my mind for the last two months when I sent in my application. But now, all my friends are getting into colleges left and right. I've only applied to UGA! So I'm kind of relying on getting in haha. It's either UGA or Georgia Southern. Ew. Not my choice. I would rather for to GC&SU waaaay before GSU, but I only get 3 hours credit for my AP scores. At UGA, I get 10 hours which rocks.
I put my major as Political Science and Pre-Law, but for some reason the application thing changed it to International Affairs? I don't know. I kind of want to start my own record label. That would be sweet. I like music a whole lot more than I like law, but I just don't know. I might be chasing a dumb dream if I went into the major it takes to get into the music industry. I mean, how awesome would it be if I started a record company that got really big and had a lot of famous people on it! It would be incredibly awesome!!
But I did Mock Trial this year to see if I liked the whole law scene, but I'm not getting a chance to do the lawyer parts. I was a witness for the practice trial and now it looks like I'm going to be a witness again. Yeah, I get to see how the court works and what lawyers are supposed to do, but I'm not getting to DO it. I get to sit and watch basically. I'm a part of the whole thing, but not really. Some of the stuff is so over my head to and I'm having second thoughts about law school. I know it'll get easier when I've learned the stuff IN law school, but right now I'm getting a little discouraged from it. Owning my own record label is WAY more appealing to me.
I did want to be a photographer for a long time. Not like a wedding photographer or the ones that take school pictures. I want to photograph bands. I want to follow one band around and photograph them at their shows. After seeing Almost Famous, I really wanted to work for Rolling Stone, but now their magazine is crappy. Back in the 60's and 70's it was awesome, but now it kind of sucks and I don't want to work there. But I could start my own music magazine! haha. My brother wants me to do that. I could be a photojournalist. I'm pretty good at photography and I'm really good in English at school, so that is a good combination, I think.
Well, before any of that happens, I should probably study for mid-terms so I can get into college and not fail out haha. That might not be too good for my career.
